What do you imagine when you hear ‘boomer’

What’s the person look like?

50yrs old, white, slightly out of shape due to unknown seed oil exposure from believing their own country wouldn’t poison their food, owns property, disagrees passionately with the liberal blue hair you can also imagine off the rip.

It’s good to have boomers on your side. They keep it real, even though most can be oblivious to large macro plots and scheming. I blame an intense practicality for this. Boomers thrive on getting what’s in-front of them done. No time for conspiracies. Less idealistic than the Youth, but that’s to be expected. Fortunately this practicality’s led them to have a hefty weight of the American power structure, especially when it comes to property, land, brick and mortar.

We’ll deep dive the boomer dynamic later.

You might be a rock 'n' roll addict prancing on the stage
You might have drugs at your command, women in a cage
You may be a business man or some high-degree thief
They may call you doctor or they may call you chief

But you're gonna have to serve somebody, yes you are
You're gonna have to serve somebody (serve somebody)
Well, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord
But you're gonna have to serve somebody

But today I had conversation with tried and true boomer. A good ole boy. Honest American. We’ll call him Derek, because that’s his name.

Derek was helping me set up wifi, tricky shit. Kept trying to upsell me cable. I told him I don’t have a TV. It was a normal service:consumer conversation until I told him that.

It peaked his interest.

Which is common unfortunately. Most normies can’t handle the “no tv” statement. It fries their hardwiring. How could you not have something so normalized, so pivotal to everyday life? You’ll get the full fluoride stare if it ever comes up. Try it!

Derek asked what I did in my free time. “Open a book and read usually”

“Oh my dad was like that. He was a drug addict, the man was so intelligent he just had to use drugs.”

“I feel, sounds like he raised you right atleast”

Then Derek said something that sparked me, and maybe all of us can relate.

“yeah he did. But his favorite topic was reading the accounts of the civil war. And not that bullshit text book stuff they taught your age group. These were authors who didn’t lie about the war. ”

Now this is uncharacteristic of a boomer.

But he’s touching on something we all need to be reminded about;

History gets rewritten all the time. BAP talks of this too and I believe him!

Now the lesson I try to leave before I start pounding this wine and inv company over for the city is:

You need to be documenting the World right now. Keep journals. Tell the story from your POV. Start today, explain the injustice you’re experiencing, or the division you’re seeing. All the macro stuff, explain what’s happening. Make a habit of it.

Your kids, their kids and further will cherish these. I wish my parents and grandparents had written their perspectives down to pass down to me.

Maybe you start this tradition for your lineage!

God speed,

Winston
