Sidewalk stroll through the mind, a real trip of a time down the street. To the right are storefronts electric with color as if a madman took crayons, markers, 4 inch wide paint brushes and ran them down the glassy exteriors while laughing, twisting reality into his own vibrant jungle.
Cartoons & Nietzsche. Terrifying butterflies, naked anatomy of civilization. Greek mythology and the urban sky of Los Angeles.

“There’s beauty in the losses of life and power in taking responsibility of one’s self,” as Bloom himself says. His paintings highlight the ability for Humans to explore, under their own will, the constraints of the world and after finding that edge, they have the opportunity to push it, fall back, stare at it, or follow it vertically until the bounds of their own self is reflected back to them.
Through his art, Bloom is exploring the Outer. He’s not playing it safe. He’s testing ideas, pressing the buttons of humanity, society, then using science as a respected playground, but still one to be played with nonetheless.

There’s a rhythm to the chaos.
Unregulated but aimed with strategy, limitations and elasticity set in place and one can sense this with Bloom as the stories in his art are pulled with muscled forearms far away from what’s real, practical, the black and the white - thus dunking us into a world where geometry is manipulated, numbers are optional, space and planes, dimensions are all played with as if Bloom is projecting a place oozing with expression until the elasticity allowing us to stretch towards fantasy is let loose where Bloom fires us into the hyper real - the truth seeking philosophical mind of humanity. A call to arms for those with a million thoughts a minute and a restless curiosity to explore them all, imagining one will be landed on, agreed upon, a temporary sense of understanding and relief washing over until another reality, factual truth about the world seeps through the cracks, another level of awareness that tosses that mirage of an answer to the way side and the Youth of Today are again left pondering, scratching chins the same way Greeks of Olde did.

Blooms maturity, albeit living with comfort behind a wide smiling, youthfully vibrant exterior, roars its head in his manner of doing the impossible: Not landing on a final philosophy. There’s no sense of concrete belief behind Blooms work. It’s full of dexterity, adaptability and seems to present itself like the Sun through a mirror: reflecting through borders, twisting into a rainbow of light that slips past rules, pushing the edges of the norm to see if it’ll pop.
